Pumpkins

Last weekend the girl scouts spent the day at the Underwood Family Farm in Moorpark. It was overcast all day so the light was great.
Spaced bales are impossible to resist.

" What could I hide in here?"

The view from the tractor ride.

 Cutest girls ever.

Cornfused... oh goodness. Though I have to admit, the maze was rather difficult.

At first I thought the little one on the left was flipping me off. Then I realized she just didn't want to get any chalk on her clothing. The chalk was from a game inside of the corn maze.

Bamboo Synapse

Today, while I was walking around trying to find something to eat, I came across this sculpture by Joyce Kohl. I've had to have walked past this dozens of times and not snapped a picture of it.

Ready for bed

Just before bed, the little one let me use her to test out my off camera flash.
This was an accidental shot and came out really well.
This one is perfect for the time of year. Creepy without trying to be.

Space Shuttle Endeavor

Today, I was able to photography the Space Shuttle Endeavor begin it's journey from LAX to the California Science Center. I know most of you weren't able to see it moving down the road. I think I was able to get some decent images but they won't do it justice. Take my word for it, that thing is bigger in real life ;)

I think the boosters are the most impressive part of the shuttle.

 You'll never see this again.
More to come.

Family visit

Took some shots during a recent family visit.
 Saint Daddy.
 Oh yeah, that's good stuff.

I was bored this morning. So, why not play on the computer?

Soccer

Just to prove that you don't need expensive equipment, I'm using a Tokina 75-300 f/4.5-5.6. This lens is about 20 years old and I found it for 10 bucks on craigslist. If you check out the reviews on PentaxForums it's not even rated very high. I think the SR on the K-5 improves any lens.

Movie Night

We got bored while waiting around to get into Movie Night at the daughter's school. Alright, let's fly around for a bit.
The littlest had the easiest time floating.
 The boy wasn't as graceful.

These were taken only a minute apart. The sun fell like a rock.

Gear

So, right around bed time, the youngest tells us that she needs a family photo to take to school. Okay, we have plenty of those. No problem.
No, those aren't good enough. They don't include the dog and cat. Oh, goodness.
Mom has me break out the tripod so we can take a photo with all of us to include the dog and cat.
What do the kid's parents that don't have cameras and printers do?
