My company asked me to take some portraits of our execs. Taken with a single flash under florescent lights. I think they came out well.

RedBull Flugtag Long Beach 2013

I was able to make it down to Long Beach for a bit. I was only there for a few hours. After missing it a few years ago it felt good to at least say that I went to this one.
Here are a few of the "flights:"

Redbull

 Record breaker

 Collapsed before it even left the flight deck.

 I think if this one would have taken off from a higher elevation it could have gone a little further.

 Queen Mary

Pyramid transformer 

The pizza was my favorite. Complete disintegration.

UFO was so light that it actually scored a negative distance. 

 I think this one was only wings. No real structure to it.

 This team was made up of carpenters. They didn't know how to make a plane so they made a house.

Gloom

I haven't been carrying my camera around as often as I should. I don't know why but for some reason I decided to throw it in my bag this morning. This morning was unusually cool for a September morning. I'm not used to low cloud cover in the middle of summer. Sometimes I think I would do better in a cooler climate as I enjoyed seeing downtown covered in clouds.

It seems like someone wasn't expecting the cloud cover as well.  I imagine them eyeing the clouds and drifting into this traffic light.

... but it was probably just someone having too much to drink.
